Remote key equipment changes come into effect today

After consultations from today, the Commission no longer requires from remote operators: apply for a license change prior to adding key equipment or moving any equipment out of the jurisdiction originally specified when applying for the license.

Submit a key event to inform the Commission if they move remote key equipment within a jurisdiction. See additional instructions for hardware changes to the remote key. We received 70 written responses to the consultation, which lasted 12 weeks. The response document to the consultation summarizes the responses received and explains our position on each proposal. Changes to the LCCP due to this consultation will take effect on October 31, 2020 and will affect all licensees.
